Creating mouth/source nodes
- You may wish to extract and store nodes which represent the sources and mouth of a river.
- First select the layer, polyline ID and node fields. Click Build to create the required data dictionaries and then select the Nodes tab. Tick "Create mouth and source layer" and click Go! to start the processing.
- You are then asked to choose which nodes to extract. Tick the check box for mouths or sources. If you need to extract both layers then make sure both check boxes are ticked.

- Click OK to continue. The mouths and sources are extracted and the output is written to C:\RivEX\output.
- The image below shows a network displaying all 3 point Shapefiles (nodes, mouths and sources).

- Below are the attribute tables for the mouth and source Shapefile.
